Child Sexual exploitation is a serious, complex and well-hidden form of Sexual abuse that can be difficult to detect and even more difficult to prevent. Many of the victims are chosen for their pre-existing vulnerabilities and many of them are unaware that they are being abused. Childhoods can be damaged beyond repair as a result of being a victim of CSE. It is vital that professionals who work with Children and Young People are able to spot the signs of CSE, understand the causes and recognise the vulnerabilities of the young people that they may come into contact with.
This course is aimed at Managers, Team leaders or senior practitioners who manage staff or teams where contact with children and young people is very likely. Through following the modules, learners will be given an overarching outline of the subject of CSE, the importance of training and development, consideration to the issues of children as perpetrators, and the role of managers when reacting and responding to concerns.
