Child Sexual exploitation is a serious, complex and well-hidden form of Sexual abuse that can be difficult to detect and even more difficult to prevent. Many of the victims are chosen for their pre-existing vulnerabilities and many of them are unaware that they are being abused. Childhoods can be damaged beyond repair as a result of being a victim of CSE. It is vital that professionals who work with Children and Young People are able to spot the signs of CSE, understand the causes and recognise the vulnerabilities of the young people that they may come into contact with.
This course is aimed at Team Leaders or Senior staff who work in Organisations where contact with Children and Young People is very likely to happen. Through following the modules, learners will be given an overarching outline of the subject of CSE, they will learn the definition of CSE, how to spot the possible signs, the impact on victims and how to respond to a disclosure or serious concerns. Learners will also be given an outline of the Laws covering Sexual Crimes against Children.
